My name is Nathan, I’m 16 and a year 11 student. My lessons are aimed at year 5 and 6 students preparing for their SATS

I enjoy maths and I am a high achiever always receiving grade 8s. I am a confident and sociable person which helps me to connect with children whilst teaching maths in an accessible way. My open-mindedness and ability to stay calm means that I can recognise when children may not understand topics and can easily adapt my method to ensure they grasp them. I want to teach maths because I understand the frustration of not understanding certain areas of maths and now know the best ways to overcome this. My aim is to help children to improve in their maths skills, gain confidence and to prepare them for their SATS.
