Advert description
I achieved an A in IGCSE English Language and English Literature, and all of my A Levels required strong written and verbal English skills, in which I achieved three A grades. Alongside my academic work, I mentored secondary school students during Year 13, supporting them with their learning, organisation, and confidence. This experience confirmed my passion for teaching and helping students realise their potential.
I believe trust is the foundation of successful learning. I take time to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and goals, creating a calm, encouraging space where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes without pressure or judgement.
My teaching uses specific, modern techniques to keep lessons engaging and effective. I break texts down using colour-coded annotations, model strong answers step by step, and use active recall, short quizzes, and discussion to reinforce understanding. For writing, I focus on planning frameworks, sentence starters, and exam-specific structures to help students express ideas clearly and confidently.
What sets me apart is my genuine care for each student’s progress. I adapt every lesson to the individual, celebrate small wins, and focus on building both skill and self-belief, so students leave lessons feeling motivated, capable, and proud of their improvement.
