Advert description
I have a degree in Hispanic Studies (BA Hons, 2:1) from University College London, one of the world's most innovative and elite universities. I studied courses in Spanish language, ES EN and EN ES translation, Hispanic literature and cinema. I also spent the third year of my degree as an Erasmus student in Madrid in the role of an English Language Teaching Assistant at a high school, giving me teaching experience from the age of just twenty years old.
After graduating, I moved to Spain and taught English as a second language, ultimately focusing on training students of all ages to pass official Cambridge English and Trinity College London qualification examinations. I have taught group classes, one-to-ones and online lessons during my career.
I then moved behind the scenes into education management as the Director of Studies for an online educational project that offered study tour trips to the UK and Spain, as well as virtual language classes.
I have also worked extensively as a translator and interpreter, and am fully bilingual having lived in Spain for over 10 years.
After returning to the UK in June this year, I am now considering training to be a secondary school Spanish teacher and gain QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
I would relish the chance to help students of any level to improve their Spanish skills, and also transmit important cultural information that goes hand in hand with the language itself.
I am a great communicator and always try to encourage my students and instil confidence in them. My lessons are dynamic and I aim to make learning fun and enjoyable as much as possible.
