Advert description
I am a First-Class Honours Psychology graduate from Plymouth Marjon University with a strong passion for neuropsychology, trauma psychology, Jungian psychology, transpersonal psychology, and consciousness studies. My academic interests combine scientific psychology with philosophy, culture, spirituality, and human behaviour.
My tutoring style is calm, supportive, and intellectually engaging. I believe psychology should feel meaningful and connected to real human experiences rather than simply memorising theories and terminology. I enjoy helping students build confidence while encouraging critical thinking, curiosity, and independent analysis.
I provide support with neuropsychology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, trauma psychology, research methods, essay writing, critical analysis, and consciousness studies. I am particularly interested in the relationship between trauma, identity, emotional regulation, embodiment, and the nervous system.
Alongside my academic background, I am also an advanced trauma-sensitive yoga teacher, which has deepened my understanding of the connection between psychology, the body, emotional wellbeing, and nervous system regulation. I also have a strong interest in Eastern philosophy, particularly Buddhism and Hinduism, and how different cultures approach consciousness and human experience.
I am currently writing an ethnographic autobiography inspired by my experiences travelling and working internationally. This project explores psychology, identity, healing, culture, and personal transformation through both reflective and observational perspectives.
My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve academically, but also to inspire a deeper appreciation for psychology as a discipline that helps us better understand ourselves, others, and the complexities of human behaviour.
