Advert description
Teaching psychology at a university level is an exciting and rewarding experience. As a psychology tutor, my lessons focus on various aspects of educational psychology, which is the study of how people learn. I also explore with my students different teaching methods, instructional processes, and individual differences in learning.
In my lessons, I delve into the cognitive, behavioural, emotional and social influences on the learning process. We cover perspectives such as behavioural, development, cognitive, constructivist and experiential approaches. These perspectives help my students understand the conditioning and rewards associated with learning, how children acquire new skills, factors like motivation and memory, the role of existing knowledge, and the influence of personal experiences on learning.
My lessons also touch upon topics in educational psychology, including educational technology and instructional design. To enhance my teaching I utilize the resources provided by the faculty, of (STP) Society for the Teaching of Psychology, which offers peer reviewed teaching materials, classroom activities, film guides and more.
Overall, teaching Psychology allows my students and I to explore the fascinating field of educational psychology and help students develop a deep understanding of how people learn.
