I am a professional author and I can teach you much about both English in general, and creative writing in particular

Advert description
Hello,

My name is Philip R. Johnson, and under that name and the pen name "Hambone" I have been, and remain, a professional full-time author since 2017. You can find examples of my work by following the links at the bottom of this summary.

Whether you're a second-language English speaker looking to improve your fluency, a native speaker who wishes to develop your skills as a writer or orator, or a school student who needs a little boost to your marks, I can help you.

The assistance I offer is tailored specifically to your needs. After all, the English language is the medium for nearly infinite possibilities! A few examples of the sorts of lessons I could give you would include:

- Structured feedback on how to create engaging and informative presentations for both academic and professional contexts

- Writing exercises to help you develop your creative work, and assistance in helping you get your novel written.

- One-on-one dives into your reading assignments, and assistance with analysing the text and its content.

- Spelling gauntlets, to help you memorize all of those strange and frustrating words.

My guiding philosophy in lesson planning is that boredom is poisonous to learning, so we'll figure out how to make the subject fun for you. I like to start by "gamifying" the subject matter, framing your learning process as an epic adventure game and you as the heroic character setting out to level up their skills, but this is just one of the many arrows in my bow.

I look forward to hearing from you.
