GCSE Maths & Further Maths Tutor | King's College London Computer Science Student

Advert description
I provide online tuition for GCSE Maths and Further Maths for students studying all major UK exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR and others).

My lessons focus on building a deep understanding of each topic rather than simply memorising methods. I teach using clear worked examples before supervising students as they solve progressively more challenging questions, ensuring they understand the reasoning behind every step. Lessons are always adapted to each student's pace, with extra focus on any areas they find difficult.

I mainly teach during afternoons and weekends. Students receive weekly homework to reinforce what we cover, and I am available to answer questions between lessons via WhatsApp or email.

The first lesson is completely free. During this session, we'll discuss your current level, identify strengths and weaknesses, and create a personalised plan for achieving your target grade. From there, we'll work systematically through the curriculum while also preparing for exams using past-paper questions and exam techniques.

About Me

I am currently a second-year Computer Science student at King's College London, where I continue to use advanced mathematics and logical problem-solving throughout my degree.

I achieved:
A*A*AA at A level
A* in Maths
A in Further Maths
Grade 9 in GCSE Maths
Grade 8 in GCSE Further Maths
Seven Grade 9s and three Grade 8s at GCSE
Studying Computer Science at a leading UK university has strengthened my mathematical thinking and ability to explain complex ideas clearly and logically. I believe every student is capable of succeeding in maths with the right guidance, structured practice and confidence-building.
My aim is not only to help students achieve top GCSE grades but also to develop genuine understanding that will benefit them in A Levels and beyond.

Whether you're aiming to pass confidently, move from a Grade 5 to a Grade 7, or achieve the highest grades (8–9), I'll confident I can help you build the skills and confidence needed to succeed.

Nicholas has not only helped my son improve and his general maths skills, but he has also helped to boost my son’s grades in GCSE maths. He has well-structured lessons, but at the same time, he helped to support specific topics that my son found challenging. He is very friendly and is able to explain concepts in a clear and understandable way.
