Advert description
Hi!
I have an International Baccalaureate Diploma where I took geography at a higher level as one of my subjects. I learnt about not only the natural sides of geography such as tectonic activity and river formations but I've also learnt about the physical sides in regards to urban development, management and land use.
During my time in IB, I tutored Year 10s and 11s for their IGCSE/A Level exams where I had to prepare powerpoint presentations and draw diagrams and annotate it to help better their understanding as different students have different methods of learning.
At this point in time I am studying environmental sciences at the University Of Sheffield and my hope with this degree is to be able to get into teaching geography to secondary school students. I believe this opportunity of remote tutoring will give me the opportunity to do so.
I have spent most of my life traveling so I believe myself to be cultured and because of this I believer I am fairly mature and independent for my age, even though I am young I have a lot of potential as I am hard working and dedicated to help others expand their mind and hopefully get them as interested in geography as I was in school and still am in university.
I remember watching my very first David Attenborough documentary and it got me hooked with this passion for geography and I would love to pass this passion along to other students.
