Advert description
As an English teacher with several years of experience in China, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to help students learn and grow while also exploring different cultures. Working in a variety of education settings, I created fun, engaging lessons that were tailored to young learners’ needs. I loved seeing my students build confidence and excitement about speaking English, and I always aimed to make my lessons interactive and relatable so that learning felt like a positive experience.
In addition to teaching, I was given the chance to support and train other teachers—both local Chinese and foreign colleagues. I helped them develop their teaching techniques, manage classrooms more effectively, and provided feedback to help them improve. This role really strengthened my communication skills and my ability to mentor others, which I found deeply rewarding.
Living and working in China also taught me a lot about different cultures and how important it is to appreciate diversity. I worked hard to promote cross-cultural understanding among my students, encouraging them to respect different backgrounds and traditions. I believe these experiences have made me more empathetic and adaptable, qualities I bring to every classroom.
Throughout my time abroad, I learned to be patient, creative, and flexible—whether I was adjusting lesson plans to suit different learning styles or handling unexpected classroom situations. I’m committed to creating positive learning environments where students feel supported and motivated to succeed.
My education at the University of Salford, where I earned a degree in TV and Radio Production, gave me strong communication skills and the confidence to connect with people. These skills have been invaluable in my teaching and training roles, helping me communicate ideas clearly and work well with others.
Overall, my journey as an English teacher has been incredibly fulfilling. It’s allowed me to connect with people from different backgrounds, inspire young learners, and support fellow teachers. I’m excited to continue this path, using my experience and passion to make a positive impact wherever I go.
