Having worked within Additional Educational Needs at Alderwasley (with A level Politics and GCSE History and Citizenship students); AQA English Language at the SUFC Academy (ah, the enemy!); an EFL tutor at Birkdale; an Edexcel GCSE History examiner and privately in the subject areas of History, Politics, Drama and English Literature, and more relevantly my recent spell at both Low Edges and Atwood Primary with many a colourful unicorn, I feel my abilities have been sufficiently honed to provide an insightful, compassionate and dedicated individual, who, not only loves his disciplines and the thrill of communicating, but does so with a sense of humour that only years of being a SWFC fan can bring. And, yes, since you ask I’ve seen them in the third tier before - or, should that be third tear? Or, just a plain old vale of tears? Moreover, my experience of performing has equipped me with the talent to convey information with erudition and intelligence. Incidentally, some of my plays have been produced in Sheffield, Leeds and London with the good folk of Leeds having had the equal good fortune (?) of witnessing me grapple with musical theatre. Either in my capacity as an English/IELTS tutor at Birkdale; a private tutor; a college lecturer; a literacy and numeracy assistant; a Politics Tutor at a SENAD school; running my own business; an Edexcel GCSE History examiner or with the little people in their little schools, I have understood the merits of organisation, patience, tact, thoroughness, good humour, reliability, imagination and compassion. Flexibility, too, is a vital ingredient - the malleability to greet every day as a day where anything might
happen and, in all probability, will.
