I worked in the biomedical science field for nearly 40 years - both in academia and industry.
Within my roles I travelled extensively throughout Europe and North America attending conferences, meeting and working with clients and delegates from many different nationalities.
Due to redundancy and unemployment as a result of the COVID-19 lockdown, I found myself working part-time in different positions gaining new perspectives in other new and varied areas apart from science.
This additional time has enabled me to read and study more.
Although I primarily worked in the international language of English within the scientific community, I am also fascinated and intrigued by the English language in all its' forms, and would welcome any opportunity to guide students throughout their academic journey to becoming an English speaker.
