The experience I have is in looking after children and teaching them language, encouraging them to develop their language through learning new words. Practising their memory skills through games of interactive learning. TEFL qualified to teach English as a second language.
I have a degree in media and film and a foundation degree in art history.
The lessons I will teach will be through textual analysis, where I will assign students a reading from a passage of English literature, drawing from writers such as Virginia Woolf, the students will be required to read the passage each week when we will work through the book. Each week, there will be a discussion on the weekly reading, where students will be encouraged to ask questions on the reading to improve their language and understanding of the English language.
I will also prepare sentences in English where I will use pictures to describe the words. Using pictures to describe the words I have used so that the students are able to see what each word means. I will also apply interactive learning where I will ask students to use a word which we are discussing in a sentence. For example 'CAT'. I will ask students to use the word 'CAT' in a sentence. During the lessons, the students will only be allowed to speak in English.
