Maths Tutoring for Primary-Aged Children with a Qualified Teacher and 10+ Years of Experience

Hi, I'm Alexandra, a qualified primary teacher with over 10 years' experience. I tutor primary-aged children, from early phonics and maths through to Year 6, both online and in person, one-to-one and in small groups. I also work with home-educated children. I start by finding out where your child is now, with a relaxed baseline check rather than a test, so we're building on what they already know and filling any gaps. In maths I put a strong focus on number fluency, because when the basics feel secure, everything else gets easier and confidence follows. In English, I use phonics to build strong early reading and spelling. Sessions are structured but friendly, with plenty of hands-on and interactive activities to keep children engaged.
