Experienced tutor who can teach Maths up to GCSE standard and Economics up to A Level Standard

I’m Shaam, a 21-year-old Economics graduate from Royal Holloway, University of London, where I achieved a strong 2:1 grade. Over three years, I’ve accumulated hundreds of hours of tutoring experience in GCSE Maths and A-Level Economics, working with students of all abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs such as autism and dyslexia. I’m hard working, dependable, and easy-going, with a track record of helping learners gain confidence, whilst achieving their goals. Away from tutoring, I’m a keen sportsman and enjoy both playing and watching sports such as cricket and football, which have helped me develop teamwork, patience, and resilience — qualities I have always brought to my tutoring.My lessons are typically 60-minutes long, but this can be adjusted depending on different students and/or their families' needs. I build in short breaks if and whenever requested if it helps the student rejuvenate and refresh. I have experience with learners of different backgrounds, including those with Special Educational Needs such as autism and dyslexia, where I aim to create a calm, supportive environment where the learner's queries are encouraged and their progress is celebrated. My lessons are adapted to each student’s learning style, through clear explanations, relatable analogies, and whiteboard demonstrations to help students understand trickier concepts. I also like to incorporate past paper questions that are relevant to various topics, whilst also encouraging students to explain topics back to me to reinforce their understanding, alongside developing robust subject knowledge. I build in short breaks if and whenever needed to help students rejuvenate and refresh, and request parental supervision if and only I believe it would help the pupil get the most out of their lessons. My aim is to make challenging topics accessible, boost grades, and ultimately help students genuinely enjoy learning.
