I have a strong mathematical background from completing a First-Class Mathematics and Physics degree at Nottingham Trent University, I teach by breaking difficult topics down into simpler steps and explaining the reasoning behind each method, rather than just giving students formulas to memorise. I use worked examples and practice questions to help students build confidence, and I adapt lessons to suit their current level, learning style and areas they need to improve. I also encourage students to have a go at questions themselves so i can see where they struggle and help them work through mistakes. For exam preparation, I can focus on past-paper style questions, exam technique and improving how they approach unfamiliar problems. My aim is to make lessons relaxed and supportive while helping students become more confident and independent with maths.
