Advert description
Learning is more than last-minute revision. It is a foundation upon which we will build over our lifetime. Without interest, curiosity and self-confidence, gaining knowledge and problem-solving skills may feel like torture. As a tutor, my focus is on the student just as much as the material. What unique challenges do they face? What personal interests can we tie into the subject? What frightens or frustrates them, and can we find another pathway to work through it? Knowing oneself can help one to know the world. I’m here to help you or your loved one to enrich themselves and add tools to their toolkit, whether it comes in the form of improved English literacy and critical reading, mathematical problem-solving, understanding of scientific methodology, or even creative writing and poetry.
By gaining comfort with and curiosity for the materials, not only do my students improve their grades, but they improve their relationship with learning, some going on to formally study advanced topics in university and some gaining a personal confidence that they can pursue whatever interests they develop throughout their lives.
Whether it is for K3, Sixth Form, or continuing education for adults, I am here to work with you to develop a deeper understanding of your subject in a safe environment. My core tutoring subjects include English Language and Literature, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, informed both by my eight years of private tutoring experience and formal education up to a Masters in Biochemistry & Biophysics.
