Programming Tutor – Learn to Code with an Experienced Software Engineer

I’m a software engineer with around 20 years of professional experience building software, web applications and backend systems. I teach programming in a practical, friendly and easy-to-understand way, adapting lessons to each student’s current level and goals.

I can help complete beginners take their first steps in programming, support students who are learning to code at school, college or university, and help more advanced learners develop their practical software development skills.

Lessons can cover Python, programming fundamentals, algorithms and problem solving, web development, databases, APIs, Git and general software engineering concepts.

My approach is practical: rather than simply memorising syntax, I help students understand how programmers think, how to break problems into manageable pieces, and how to build working projects. We can work through exercises, coursework concepts, personal projects or areas where you are struggling.

Lessons are tailored to you, with an emphasis on building confidence and helping you become able to solve programming problems independently.
