Hi! My name is Finnuala, I am a second year university student studying Economics at Newcastle. My course is so present in the world we live in and explains this through mathematical concepts, this is where I thrive, I enjoy learning and grasping mathematics. During my A-level exams I was very consistent achieving AAB in A-levels in English Literature, Maths and Business studies. I am a keen netball player and play on the University team. Sport is such a big part of my life where I depend on it physically, mentally and socially. I am a friendly, enthusiastic and organised student who loves to help people engage in learning. I am a very down to earth and easy person to talk to, so I can ensure students would never feel afraid to ask questions and get right involved.

Tutoring Experience
I have been tutoring since 2019, alongside my GCSEs I began to help my friends and do private one to ones. From here after, I begun official weekly lessons with students where I use to tutor on Mytutor website. My first student whose initial GCSE score was a failing grade, with my guidance, she successfully passed on her first attempt.
Throughout my tutoring experience, I've had the privilege of working with students of varying skill levels. In addition, my teaching experience is also executed through my work as a netball coach for children aged 4 to 13. The art of explanation and education has become second nature to me, and I consistently apply and refine these skills in both teaching and coaching. This background has instilled in me a strong sense of comfort and competence within the teaching and tutoring sector.

Tutoring Approach
My approach when tutoring students previously has been to build an initial understanding and comfortability with one another. Students have always been so comfortable in my teaching company and have flourished in their final exams. I typically use visual learning styles where the student and I can both write on an interactive whiteboard through the video lesson. I will always accommodate for the individual's learning style, and in the induction lesson I will do a topic review sheet to understand the child's capability and what we will need to focus on particularly. Forward from the review lesson, we will start chronologically working through the chosen syllabus and grow
