Advert description
I am a First-Class Neuroscience graduate from King’s College London, with a strong academic background in Biology. Prior to university, I achieved 44 out of 45 in the IB Diploma, including Higher Level Biology, and earned 9 A grades at IGCSE.
Beyond academics, what makes me a trustworthy and effective tutor is my patience, empathy, and confidence in supporting students. Biology is a fascinating but content-heavy subject, and I understand how overwhelming it can feel at times. My tutoring approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable explanations, ensuring students feel supported, motivated, and confident in their ability to succeed.
I offer a personalised approach to tutoring by first understanding how each student learns best, whether through visual aids, written explanations, or mnemonics. I have previous tutoring experience with 8th-grade IB Mathematics students through the MathBuddies programme, where I developed strong skills in lesson planning, patience, and adapting explanations to suit individual needs. Additionally, at King’s College London, I mentored first-year students through the NeuroOscars Mentor Programme, providing both academic support and guidance on a group project that went on to win the NeuroOscars prize.
