Advert description
I have a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering and I am passionate about maths education. I want to enable my students to succeed in maths, whatever that looks like for them.
I enjoy working across a range of abilities, ranging from students who need catching up and motivation to improve their engagement, to the prospective scientists and doctors looking for their grade 9s.
I have experience working as an inhouse tutor for a secondary school, where I worked with students with a range of SEND and SEMH needs working towards Functional Skills qualifications, GCSE Foundation and Higher, and GCSE resits.
I have been tutoring on and off since finishing my GCSEs and it is work I take great pride and enjoyment in.
I am flexible in my lessons and they adapt to each individual student, however my fundamental philosophy in tutoring is that there are very few students who get the full benefit of tutoring from spending an hour a week going through questions. I try to use my time to help improve their engagement with their lessons, homework and revision because that is where the biggest difference is made.
