Qualified Secondary School Maths Teacher for over 12 years offering Private Tuition Online

I qualified in 2012 as a Secondary School Maths Teacher, and have been teaching Maths in a Secondary School in Essex for over 12 years. I have experience teaching from year 7 through to year 11 and have taught all abilities. In that time I have had a variety of roles from being the lead Gifted and Talented Co-ordinator across all subjects to being the school's professional mentor for Newly Qualified Teachers. I have also been a key member of the Maths Leadership Team. I have written schemes of work and assessments for the key examination year groups and have been responsible for targeting students for intervention. This has given me extensive knowledge of the KS3 and GCSE Maths Curriculum. 

What I enjoy most in my teaching is getting to know each student's individual strengths and weaknesses, as well as their ambitions for what they want to achieve, and seeing them progress towards this. Whether this is passing Maths to take them onto the next stage of their education journey, or to excel at Maths with an in-depth understanding in preparation to continue to study Maths further at A level. I now am able to dedicate more time to this side of my teaching in my role as a private tutor.
