3 years tutoring to Brazilians learning advanced business English. I understand the difficulties foreign students face dealing with the enormous variety of dialects & vocabulary used by different communities, groups & regions in the English speaking world. I also understand what the student means to say, but often loses this meaning in translation.

I draw on 30 years living & working abroad in many different roles, including military service, sales & marketing, and contract services in the international logistics, maritime & telecommunications industries. As a service provider offering services to manufacturers, exporters & importers, I have learned the ins and outs of many different industries around the world.

In recent years I set up and ran my own 'low impact' small farm in Brazil making the most of recycled items & sustainable power. All in all, this experience has given me a unique understanding of the high tech/low tech mix required for success in a sustainable world.

In summary, I am offering not only language tutoring, but a mentoring service helping students to not only navigate the language, but the cultural landscape in an everchanging world.
