I am a native Italian who lived and worked in the UK from Mar 2004 to Sep 2013 and from Sep 2015 until Sep 2017. Most of my career to date has been spent teaching the Italian language and culture in FE and HE British Institutions (and privately), at Beginners’, Intermediate, Advanced level to learners coming from different language backgrounds.
From 2006 to 2012, I worked in the Applied Languages programme coordinated by the School of Language and Global Studies at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) in Preston, where I taught the Beginners’, Intermediate and Advanced strands of the programme.
From Jan 2016 to June 2017, I held the position of lecturer in Italian Studies within the Modern Languages BA (Hons) programme coordinated by the same school, where I was subject leader for Italian (Ab-Initio route) under the AB (Hons) MOLA (modern languages), TESOL and MOLA, English with Italian programme. I taught Italian language and culture modules as well as Intercultural representations in Italian cinema. Also, I was module leader for the Extended essay module which aims to provide Foundation Entry students with an opportunity to practise academic writing while undertaking a supervised assignment.
