Advert description
My name is Symeon, and I am from Portsmouth, a city on the south coast of England in the UK. I teach English as a foreign language to students from various countries, including China and Japan. Additionally, I work with two refugee charities in my city, teaching adult refugees from diverse backgrounds such as Palestine, Iraq, and Afghanistan. I love getting to know people from different cultures, and I have helped many of my students progress from almost no English to speaking confidently.
I offer lessons for all levels, from beginner to advanced, starting at age 17. My classes cover a range of topics, including General English, Business English, English for Travel, and conversational skills. I focus on how English is spoken in the UK, ensuring you would be understood during your stay for work or university. My lessons include grammar and pronunciation while being fun and engaging. With a lot of patience, I enjoy helping my students overcome obstacles in their learning journeys.
In my spare time, I enjoy attending music gigs, American Football, going to the gym, and growing cactus plants.
I hold a level 5 diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, along with qualifications in Teaching English Online and Teaching Business English. I have a year of experience teaching students worldwide, following the TEFL method, which includes all four skills of language learning: reading, writing, listening, and speaking, as well as grammar and vocabulary. I enjoy creating fun activities and games to ensure practical application and help you start speaking right away.
Book an initial lesson with me, and I will assess your current level of English while discussing your goals for language learning. Together, we’ll make learning enjoyable and effective. With patience and engaging lessons, I’ll guide you from beginner to confident speaker.
