I have worked as a teacher and support worker in both secondary and primary settings for 24 years. I have over 8 years experience of working with small groups of primary age children to provide reading intervention and flagging up any concerns of SPLD. Many of my sessions are 1:1. All children are assessed by myself to find their personal reading level before starting on a programme of reading intervention. The results of the intervention has proved to give the child the foundation needed for them to progress on their reading journey.
