Online Mandarin Lessons for All Ages with a Native Speaker and TESOL MA Graduate

Hi, I’m Evelyn, a native Mandarin speaker based in Plymouth. I’m fluent in English and studied for an MA in TESOL at the University of Manchester. My background includes teaching children, translation and interpreting, as well as working with clients in both English and Mandarin. My online Mandarin lessons are built around your level, interests and goals. If you’re a beginner, we’ll start with pinyin, tones and useful everyday phrases. If you already speak some Mandarin, we can develop your confidence through conversation, vocabulary building and practical situations for travel, work or daily life. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to speak, with clear explanations in English when helpful and gentle corrections to support your progress. For children, I use games, pictures and short activities to make learning engaging. Each lesson includes time to practise and review, so you can gradually build on what you know. My aim is to create a friendly, supportive space where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and enjoying the process of learning Mandarin.
