With 20-plus years of experience, in class and online, I love teaching mostly adults and young adults. I believe my classes are friendly and lively. My teaching experience covers a particularly wide range of environments. In Thailand I have taught at universities, language schools, vocational colleges and corporate organisations, as well as providing specialist Business and Technical English training. At Cobra International in Chonburi, for example, I established and managed an English-language programme serving approximately 4,000 employees at different levels of the organisation. I have also worked with Wall Street English, AUA, Burapha University, Asian University and a number of other institutions. From 2018 to 2020 I taught at Bhavana Bodhigun Vocational College on Koh Samui, working with young adults, while from 2020 to 2024 I taught extensively online. I have also taught international students from teenagers through to adults, including summer-school programmes in the UK. I believe one of my strengths is the ability to adapt teaching to the needs of the individual student or organisation. My experience includes General English, Business English, presentations, report writing, customer service, telephone English, conversational English and specialist workplace English. My previous careers in business, design, IT, management and antiques have also given me considerable practical experience of working with people from different professional and cultural backgrounds. Having spent much of my working life overseas, I am comfortable working in multicultural environments and have considerable experience of adapting to different educational and cultural expectations. I speak Thai and have extensive experience of Thai culture and working life.
