I am an American-born speaker of English with clear pronunciation and excellent grammar

As a first-generation Ukrainian-American who spent her earliest years in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual neighborhood and grew up in a bilingual household, I am familiar with many of the difficulties speakers of other languages struggle with when they are learning English. I started by correcting my own English when I realized it did not match the language spoken around me. While I do not have a certificate in TEFL, although I do hold a B.A. in English Literature, I have worked informally with a number of non-English speakers to improve their comprehension and pronunciation, even when their native language was not one that I was previously familiar with. The experiences have been enriching on both sides, and I confess to a deep interest in language. I will help you to understand the peculiarities of our language and patiently work with you to untangle any confusion you may be experiencing.
