I am an experienced primary teacher with 10 years teaching experience across Years 2 to 6. I also have 5 years experience as an Assistant Headteacher. I specialise in KS2 SATs and 11+ preparation, with extensive experience teaching arithmetic, reasoning and problem solving, reading, writing, grammar and spelling.
My approach is personalised and supportive. I begin with an initial assessment to identify your child’s strengths, areas for development and specific support required, and continually assess and adapt sessions to ensure they are making progress. I have extensive experience supporting children from a wide range of backgrounds, including children with SEND and English as an Additional Language (EAL).
My aim is not only to improve attainment, but to build confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning. I believe face-to-face tutoring is the most effective way to build a strong relationship for learning and get the most out of children, although online sessions can be arranged where necessary.
