English Literature A-Level Online Tutoring

30-90 minute sessions online using teams or zoom.

Throughout my academic career I have an array of opportunities to improve my writing skills. In GCSE I was able to participate in a scholarship programme working with cambridge PhD students on argumentative writing and take a 3 day training course for potential youth MP's as a result of the work I had produced in my english classes. This only continued in A-levels where I used my skills to achieve an A* (47/50) in my EPQ, write multiple columns for the schools newsletter and become a reading assistant for younger students.

All of these experiences have been vital to building my CV and personal statement, I hope that by helping students to excel in English they will have these same opportunities.

Using both my own study methods and techniques provided by workshops and seminars, I am able to help find the most efficient ways study. Tailoring the session to help emphasise strengths and improve skill sets within the exam boards mark scheme, my sessions focus on breaking down exam questions and set texts and extrapolating the information examiners are looking for. This includes recommendations for further reading, which can help with understanding the subject on a much more sophisticated level that examiners awarding higher grades expect students to have.
