Advert description
I have a 2:1 in Psychology. I enjoy reading and writing poems in my spare time, as well as volunteering.
I offer English tutoring services from Primary age to A-Level, to improve writing, reading and speaking skills. I also offer casual adult learner sessions.
With regards to Psychology tutoring services, I offer support for students studying GCSE and A-Level Psychology, as well as casual adult learners who wish to simply learn more about topics!
I have officially tutored two English GCSE students previously, helping them to develop their skills. Both students achieved their goals.
I also tutored my Mum in English Language GCSE, she achieved a grade B. It was a pleasure to share tips, help her practise and to see her confidence continue to grow as she became more proficient in her writing skills.
I will always treasure seeing her smile when she got her results!
I ultimately aim to create a love of English/Psychology, a love of learning and a love for the challenge that education brings. I hope interest in the subject areas continue throughout their life. However, I understand that for some people, studying for exams is sometimes boring and stressful. In my lessons, I try to incorporate a range of different types of focused activities to ensure that the young adult enjoys the sessions and also continues to improve their skills. Practising exam questions is essential and I offer extensive support for this.
I also have an understanding of neurodiversity, and am able to provide adjustments to sessions in order to create a good, effective learning environment for the student. I am passionate that everyone should have the opportunity to access high quality and individualised learning. I believe that education and the skill of thinking critically and creatively is a key to further opportunities.
