Advert description
I am a Space Systems Engineer and have a BSc Physics and MSc Space Engineering degree from the University of Surrey. I have over 7 years of tutoring and teaching experience and have worked with students of various ages and abilities. I have a huge passion for helping students to work hard and achieve the top grades they deserve. Everyone learns differently and the school system does not always account for this, that's why I understand that putting a little extra time on a subject outside the classroom can significantly improve your learning and grades.
I currently tutor for Mathematics and Physics for GCSE and A level. I have received highly positive feedback from each student of mine and am hoping to continue this trend by ensuring each student is happy and receives the personalised support they require. My lessons include theory to help understand complex concepts, and problem-solving to apply what we've learnt. Application is crucial in subjects such as Physics and Maths to improve understanding and solve the most challenging questions that carry the heaviest marks.
I ensure to make lessons engaging, enjoyable and memorable, whether they are in-person or online. I am also familiar with new specifications and know what the examiners are looking for.
I have taught Physics and Mathematics from KS3 to A level across different exam boards. During my final year at University I completed a 'Physics in Education' module where I taught year 10s in Charterhouse School, Godalming for six months. I also did a summer placement (2019) in George Abbot School, where I was based in the science department and had the opportunity to plan and deliver lessons. For my A levels, I studied Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Economics for AS and A2.
