My lessons are calm, supportive and interactive, designed to help students feel confident as well as capable. I take time to understand each child’s strengths, challenges and learning style, so lessons feel approachable and achievable rather than overwhelming. I explain ideas clearly and encourage students to talk through their thinking, ask questions and take part actively in the lesson. Sessions often include discussion, short activities and problem-solving rather than long explanations, helping students stay engaged and build confidence in expressing their ideas. Alongside subject learning, I place a strong emphasis on confidence-building, communication and presentation skills. Where helpful, I include gentle public speaking and interview-style practice so students become more comfortable explaining their ideas clearly and calmly. My aim is for students to feel more self-assured, motivated and independent, and to see steady, positive progress in their schoolwork.
