Advert description
I am a native English speaker with a BA in History and Politics from the University of Oxford and am currently undertaking a Master’s degree in Middle Eastern Studies, also at Oxford. I have formal training in linguistics through the study of Arabic (ongoing), as well as French and German. I have a strong grasp of English vocabulary and grammatical conventions and am able to explain usage clearly and accurately to learners at different levels. My lessons are flexible and adapted to individual needs, with a focus on consolidating existing knowledge and developing further proficiency.
Prior to university, I studied English Literature at school, achieving A* grades at both GCSE and A-Level. I am an avid reader with a broad knowledge of both classic and modern English literature.
In my previous role at a London-based non-governmental organisation, I regularly worked with non-native English speakers, including coordinating high-level conferences attended by senior officials from Europe and the Gulf and MENA regions. This required clear, precise communication across language barriers in professional settings.
While I am based in London and Oxford, I am able to teach remotely and offer a flexible schedule.
