Advert description
Successful teaching is a question of mutual respect. One must know when to intervene but also when to allow those you are responsible for to exert their autonomy. Placing trust in the learners is the most effective way for them to get the best out of themselves.

Successful teaching is a question of mutual respect. Whatever level I am teaching at, I believe the learner should be guided through the inquiry by the Socratic Method of directed questioning prompted by the student's response. In this way we can understand together that education is a collaborative and mutually enlightening process. One must know when to intervene but also when to allow those you are responsible for to exert their autonomy. Placing trust in the abilities of the learners is the most effective way to get the best out of them.
