Geography teacher experienced at teaching all key stages

Your interest and learning are at the heart of my lessons. I don't just teach geography, I teach YOU geography. That means getting to know what makes you tick, what you already know, and what you don't.
Geography is about skills, so I'll use a task-based approach that's engaging because it's like an investigation; you make up your own mind based on the evidence.
So I won't just talk at you for hours and hours - learning is so much more fun when it's a conversation, and when there's time and space to explore!
The format of my lessons will depend on many things, but the key one is your needs. So I won't get you reading long articles for the sake of it if you've already got good knowledge, nor will I insist on you writing out practice exam questions unless that's an area we've agreed you specifically need help with. Typically, we might start with a quiz, then explore a topic through a variety of media, then complete a challenge of some kind before finishing with some feedback, but it all depends on your needs.
I like to use images, graphs, maps, videos and more to get you interested, as I believe in using all our senses to learn whenever possible, and thankfully geography can be a really immersive, colourful and visually rich subject, so why not make the most of it? This also develops the excellent geographical skills needed for success.
