Advert description
My teaching approach to engage disengaged students consists of five steps. First, I assess the students’ needs, goals, interests, and learning styles, and tailor my lessons accordingly. Second, I use a variety of teaching strategies, such as direct instruction, guided practice, cooperative learning, inquiry-based learning, and project-based learning, to cater to the students’ different preferences and abilities. Third, I use relevant and authentic materials and contexts, such as news articles, videos, podcasts, games, and simulations, to make the lessons meaningful and interesting for the students. Fourth, I provide frequent and constructive feedback and support to the students, and celebrate their achievements and progress. Fifth, I foster a positive and collaborative learning environment, where the students feel comfortable and confident to participate and interact with me and their peers.
