I am friendly and patient so am happy to work with intermediate English learners.

I have been a mentor and supported several young people before so will use these skills to support English learners. I will teach in a conversational way, with each lesson talking about a chosen topic which I could then ask the students follow up questions on to extend their vocabulary. I would write down any words they struggle with during each session and then forward these onto the student as pointers to work on. I would also try to use extended vocabulary during the conversation and encourage the student to ask about words they don't understand to promote the learning of new words.
