I like the first session to be finding out what the students would like to achieve, their goals. Then , having an assessment, to find out their weak areas, and to improve on those.
The sessions after the first, would be focusing on achieving those goals.
I structure the session first with an introduction, for example, today, we are trying to learn the difference between fact and opinion, and how to expand on our opinions.
Then, there is going to be the main content, like activities, for example, getting them to pick facts and opinions out of a list of things.
Then, conclude, afterwards.
