Advert description
I have achieved the highest grades for both the English language and English literature modules at GCSE. I have a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, and I'm currently completing my master's. Through my experience as a peer mentor and English tutor to native and foreign speakers, I am equipped with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by non-native speakers.
My approach to teaching is to provide: Personalized Lessons: Your learning needs are unique, and so should be your lessons. I design tailor-made sessions that build on your current skills and interests.
Interactive Learning: Expect engaging dialogues, role-plays, and real-world scenario practices that will not only teach you English but also prepare you to use it confidently in any setting.
Cultural Integration: Learn English within the context of its cultural variance, slang, idioms, and humour.
My lesson plans are centred around a solid foundation for the basics, and then further application to real-life situations. For example, I would start with a quick conversation practice to get comfortable and ready for the session. Then proceed to a review where a brief recap of the previous lesson, ensuring retention and understanding.
Then the lesson would branch into:
Introduction of New Concepts: Depending on your level, we might tackle new vocabulary, grammar points, or pronunciation practice.
Interactive Practice: We’ll dive into exercises, which could include dialogue rehearsals, listening comprehension from various media, and writing practice tailored to your interests.
Real-World Application: Role-playing exercises, discussing current events.
I would then give them engaging tasks to complete to consolidate knowledge for the next lesson.
My commitment to my students is to provide flexible teaching tailored to their personality and lifestyle.
