Tutor of KS3 and KS4 English Literature and Language looking for new students

Hi, I'm James, an English teacher based in Norwich. I have a PGCE in English and have been teaching for 3 years now. My recent role is SEND focused, so if your child has a SEND need, I'd be more than happy to adapt my teaching appropriately. I also have 2 years experience teaching online, 6 hours a week, to GCSE students with SEND needs. I am passionate about providing excellent quality teaching and creating an inclusive teaching environment where your child can reach their full potential.

I have experience with the entire AQA English Language curriculum alongside a range of AQA GCSE texts - An Inspector Calls, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, A Christmas Carol, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Lord of the Flies, the Worlds and Lives and Power and Conflict poetry anthologies - and would be willing to read wider to support your child. I have easily-accessible lessons available for a number of these texts, building incrementally to increase the challenge as the lessons go on, so that my students can push themselves and eventually go from a grade 1 to a grade 4.

Alongside my wide GCSE subject knowledge, I also have experience delivering targeted literacy interventions to KS3, so if your child is Year 7-9, I would be happy to help in this area as well, with phonics, spelling and grammar, or preparing for GCSE with skills-based lessons.

I charge £16 per hour and am available online or in person in Norwich.
