English Literature / Language Tutor for Secondary School Students

Hello everyone!
My name is Emily and I'm looking to tutor Secondary School students to help them get to grips with English Language and Literature. I have a first class degree in American studies, which is a course you might not have heard of, but essentially I have a broad knowledge of contemporary literature, history, and music. I have worked very closely with my English literature department, and even had the opportunity to present my writing in America!
I'm a firm believer that the subject of English can become fun and exciting for anybody. Sometimes the books you're reading at school might not be for you, but I'm here to make sure we find something in that text that makes you intrigued, and also introduce you to literature you'll enjoy in your day to day life. Are you a fan of music, video games, or films? Well then guess what, you're a fan of literature! English exists everywhere, even in places you don't realise, so I'm here to work with you to find you own passions and interests within the subject.
