I'm currently a senior human factors researcher after completing my BSc (1st Class) and successful defence of my PhD in cognitive human factors psychology. I'm enthusiastic with a strong work ethic and have clear professional career goals. I always strive to seek new challenges that allow me to contribute to the research I’m passionate about whilst allowing me to help others to grow and develop to achieve their successes.
My areas of expertise are Cognitive Science, Human Factors Psychology, and Research Methods and Statistics. I am interested in theoretical memory, attention, problem-solving, decision-making, task interruptions and distractions, human error, interface design, automation, applied healthcare, cyber-security and autonomous vehicles/systems.
I am passionate about learning, especially from others, and I approach tutoring as a two-way learning experience. I have always taken opportunities that enhance teaching and research activities. This includes supervising dissertation students and assisting and leading teaching in several modules across the academic undergraduate years (e.g., Mind, Brain and Development, Research Methods, and Human Factors Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Research Methods and Statistics ). I have supported the development of assessment criteria and assisted in both assignment creation and marking of essays, exams, and research papers (as well as dissertation marking). I have created extra-curricular workshops to allow students to harness their academic skills for further success.
