Chinese Mandarin tutor providing lessons to children of all ages

I got 2 bachelor’s degrees in social work and business management at the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Now I am studying for an MSc in sociology and global change at the University of Edinburgh.

During my college years, as an academic tutor, I participated in many activities. I have three years of experience tutoring primary and secondary school students at New Oriental Company. I have witnessed the growth of many children, from primary school to high school. Getting along with children has also made me personally understand the behavioral characteristics of children of different ages, personalities, and genders. Children trust me. They are glad to tell me the difficulties they encounter in their growth, and I have built a bridge of communication between children and parents. My work has gained recognition from students, parents and colleagues.

My knowledge in human behaviour and psychology theories, as well as the social work that I have acquired through my social work studies, will help me recognize children's needs and give them the assistance they need. In addition, in the study of social work, I have learned about the social work of adolescents and the theories of human behaviour and psychology, which can help me identify the needs of children and provide them with targeted help. Whether it is playing, learning, or thinking, every child has his or her own personality. I respect and value the child's characteristics and assist him or her in developing habits and correcting values in a way that is appropriate for him or her. During the pandemic, my classmates and I organized a children's study habit training group for primary school students in the community. We completed some activities to improve concentration, drawing expression, and learning methods, and the results were positive.

I enjoy interacting with people, and I believe that more than just companions; we are friends who help grow together.
