Native English speaker - I can help students with their spoken and written English in a fun and interactive way

I am degree level educated, with excellent verbal, non verbal and written communication skills. I have a PTLLS qualification, and I am also a certified life coach, NLP practitioner, and clinical hypnotherapist with many transferable skills.

As a people person, I have worked with families for over 30 years. I have worked with mostly Women and Children, but also worked with some Men. I have worked with people from different cultures and different learning abilities.

My degree is in Midwifery, therefore I have a sound understanding of physiology and anatomy, health and social care systems and practices. Throughout my degree I developed skills in research analysis and synthesis. Once qualified I taught students within the clinical setting, and parents in breastfeeding workshops and parentcraft sessions. I also have experience of assisting a woman who spoke no English through labour.

I also worked within adult and children's safeguarding, specialising in domestic abuse where I have supported many Women, from all cultures. As such I have a sound understanding of issues such as forced marriage, FGM, Sharia Law, and honour based violence to name but a few. I have worked with, and supported clients with their right to remain applications. I have also facilitated The Freedom Programme- a 10 week course to educate clients on the signs and impact of abuse, and educate them about healthy relationships moving forward.

I am also a carer for my Son who had mild learning disabilities and complex health issues. I work as an advocate for him, as he struggles with reading and writing, as well as understanding and communicating complex information.

As part of my PTLLS training we learned how to create lesson plans and schemes of work. We were also taught learning styles, and how to adapt lessons to the learning needs of the student.

I have skills in coaching and NLP, using positive psychology and my knowledge and understanding of neural brain function to guide clients using various tools and techniques to help clients to help themselves live their best life and be the best version of themselves they can be.
