Isabel Ponce Application - Thank you for considering my application

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am in my final year of university studying Education and Politics. I am a native Spanish speaker as I am Spanish and Ecuadorian. Coming from two different Spanish-speaking countries, I have two perspectives on the language and the culture. In addition, by studying in the UK, I have become an open-minded person who enjoys learning from other cultures and appreciates other languages. I am passionate about education and teaching as I understand how learning different languages is part of growing as a professional and becoming a person with diverse perspectives. I am confident in my ability to take this role as I have experience with teaching, time management, and communication in English and Spanish.

I have worked in different social enterprises with disadvantaged kids by helping them with their resilience and education and teaching them English and music. In addition, during covid 19 I worked with a kid to support him in his online classes, as he was struggling with English and his social anxiety. During Covid 19 I also took part in N.E.S.T at Newcastle University, by creating video content for refugees about topics like science, history, and art supporting them with teaching and education.

In addition, I just finished my placement working with people from different industries and backgrounds making me more confident with my communication in speaking, writing, and reading. I worked with events, developing networking skills and working on multiple projects with a team.

This year I will be happy to work as an online tutor as I want to develop my skills as a teacher and I understand how important it is to learn different languages to have a diverse understanding of the world. Also, I want to help people who are learning Spanish to learn this amazing language in a fun and enjoyable way.
