Advert description
I first discovered my passion for teaching while tutoring fellow students during my undergraduate biology degree, where I built a strong foundation in molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology, and zoology/ecology. For over three decades, I have taught and supervised BSc, MSc, MRes, and PhD students in biological and biomedical sciences. My teaching spans cell biology, biochemistry, evolution, genetics, and host–parasite interactions, as well as broader topics such as One Health.
In my lessons, I combine clear explanations with practical examples, ensuring complex concepts are easy to understand and remember. I also guide students in scientific writing, data analysis, oral presentation, and research project development. My approach is adaptive and student-centred — I tailor each session to individual learning styles and goals, supporting both confidence and academic excellence. Having taught students from a wide range of cultural and educational backgrounds in the UK and internationally, I am deeply committed to inclusive, engaging, and globally aware education.
