I'm an undergraduate STEM student at Newcastle University with a passion for maths on the side. I am hoping that helping to tutor maths to struggling students will help them excel in their academic journey, and gain a love for the subject as I have.l

Maths is often considered one of the most challenging subjects for students to grasp, at any level. As a private tutor, navigating these challenges will require a deep understanding of individual student's needs, and as such I aim to tailor classes accordingly. I first intend to conduct a thorough assessment to identify each student's strengths, weaknesses, learning styles, and specific areas of difficulty. I aim to focus on refining foundational concepts, which otherwise would leave gaps in the learning process that may hinder progress in more advanced topics. Furthermore, I aim to make classes highly interactive by teaching students in varied learning styles, such as visual, auditory, and more, to keep them as engaged as possible throughout the class. Finally, I will create a supportive environment where I will exercise patience and kindness, so that students may feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions, helping to alleviate maths anxiety and boost confidence.
