I am currently studying for a BA in English and History with aims of being a teacher and prefer to teach GCSE/A-level.

As a tutor, strong communication is very important and a skill I have built upon in the last few years. As a hospitality worker, communication in all forms is vital within this job with customers as well as co-workers. This skill is transferable to education as the ability to problem solve and find alternative solutions can be beneficial to students as being a flexible and adaptable can really be beneficial for students. I am a very organised induvial who likes to plan and do everything to the best of my ability. Throughout my education, I have proved how important organisation is being proactive and fully emerging myself in the role I am doing. Personally, planning resources and having a wide range of materials as every student learns differently so visual resources for example may be best and then by tracking the students’ progress, I can then adapt future materials for these students. Not only is adaptability, a key skill but additionally this only works alongside patience and willingness to get to know the student as well as allowing them to find there learning style which can only be done over a period of time.
