Advert description
I have been teaching Spanish Language and Hispanic culture since 2011 when I started teaching Spanish to KOICA volunteers and experts (from the KOICA-NIPA expert program) assigned to do volunteer work in Latin America and the Caribbean. Later, I moved to South Korea to study a master degree in translation and continue working as a Spanish teacher at the Education Center of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). I also gave private lessons to those who wanted to learn the language.
Among the duties I have performed while teaching Spanish, I can mention:
> Designing a curriculum that is tailored to the individual needs and objectives of my students. A curriculum that takes into account their level of Spanish proficiency and the cultural differences they may encounter while living in Spanish-speaking countries.
> Developing lesson plans that include not only language instruction but also cultural insights into Hispanic societies which included exploring the history, traditions, customs, and values of Spanish-speaking countries.
> Creating an interactive and engaging classroom environment that encourages participation and active learning.
> Supporting the students in their cultural immersion process which includes organizing cultural activities, introducing them to local communities, and providing guidance on cultural norms and behaviors.
> Complying with the goal of providing the students with the language and cultural knowledge they need to live effectively in Spanish-speaking countries and to promote mutual understanding and respect between different cultures.
